The World

The World
Michele Nappi

Every once in a while I choose a Tarot card for myself. As I was putting my monthly shoppe newsletter together I decided to pick one card to represent this first newsletter of 2013. I enjoy the Wizards Tarot deck, although there are many others to choose from. As I shuffled the deck of cards I received a Major Arcana card.

The World: A card of completion and success. This card represents the merger of the self-conscious with the subconscious and a blending of these two with superconsciousness - our divine essence as cosmic consciousness.

Being as Divine Essence is the heart of the soul. Infinite universal truth. Awaken your divine essence. As we develop spiritually we release attachments that close the heart of our Divinity. We join with universal consciousness as our true Essence.

The World is a card of wisdom. We are all gaining in wisdom as we have come here to learn on many levels. For me, I believe that we are NOT here to learn lessons, as this sounds punitive in nature. I believe we learn as we move along in the many fields of energy that exist. We match up with what ever energy field we choose.

Stuff happens in our consciousness we call life, and we get to decide what to make of it.

What feels right to us at the time, may not feel right as we choose other frequency of vibration. I too, believe that there is no right or wrong, good or bad, love or hate - only perception which we create.

We do live in the land of duality. The trouble with duality is that someone feels the need to choose a side, much of the time. Once a side is chosen we choose to accept the opposite side, as well. As we do this we live within this structure we created.

We can live beyond duality, as being. We can BE in the present moment, instead of living in the past (regret/dead energy) or the future (anxiety/yet to be determined). Since we are what we seek as a creation of self, we can choose the peace of the present moment of consciousness. We can smile with the realization of this divine space we hold. We are this essence.

We as creators of this body, decide the frequency of vibration that we allow ourselves to manifest.

Truly there is no such thing as an ending or a beginning, as all flows. Wisdom gathered is perhaps a finer frequency of vibration.

The World we choose to live in is a choice by focus. We can focus on what we would like to experience in this new path of destination that we are calling a NEW YEAR. Through owning our heart and soul we choose to live as an empowered Being.

DAILY BASICS:
Focus on (what ever you would like to label it) your inner being.

Focus on your breathing by following the in breath, all the way in and the out breath, all the way out. Do this 3-6 times.

Focus on your heart/center. Close your eyes and smile. Feel the warmth of your beingness.

This energy flows down through your body, into the ground beneath your feet. Bring this energy back up through your body and out of the top of your head back to source frequency.

You are grounded, centered and full of life.

Abundant Blessings for you and yours! Michele/Moonlight Gift Shoppe

Frankincense and cancer

Studies on Frankincense and Cancer

History:
Frankincense trees were considered extremely valuable during ancient times and their location was often a matter of state secret. Egyptians used the incense to fumigate their homes, for ritual incense and the oil for cosmetics. It was used as a holy anointing oil and as a general cure-all for all diseases. It was also used to enhance meditation and elevate spiritual consciousness. History shows it was used for embalming and as a perfume AND formed an important part of the Sabbath day offering. Frankincense or olibanum was mentioned inthe Scriptures over 50 times and is found in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Chronicles, Nehemiah,Song of Solomon, Isaiah, Matthew, and Revelations.

Actions:
The actions of frankincense include anti-inflammatory, anti-tumoral, immune-stimulant, antidepressant and muscle relaxing. It stimulates the limbic system as well as the hypothalamus, pineal and pituitary glands. It is strongly anti-viral, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, antiseptic and expectorant oil. Frankincense has the ability to relax and revitalize at the same time.

Research:
Cancer Research Using Frankincense

There are a few researchers studying the effects of frankincense on various cancers with some degree of success. In vitro effects show inhibition or stimulation of cell proliferation depending on the concentration of frankincense oil in the growth media.

  • A recent study conducted at the University of Oklahoma showed that frankincense kills bladder cancer cells without harming surrounding tissue.
  • Studies are showing frankincense to be a strong immune-stimulant with some claiming that frankincense has the ability to repair DNA.
  • A Chinese study conducted in 2000, indicated that Boswellia has “anti-carcinogenic and anti-tumor activities.” These boswellic acids from frankincense inhibited “a variety of malignant cells” in people suffering from leukemia and brain tumors.
  • The Cancer Research Institute of the University of Nevada treated cervical cancer with frankincense, in which “there was 72% inhibition and growth of non-cancerous cells.”
  • Other studies have shown that boswellic acids from frankincense exert anti-prolifertive activity toward a variety of malignant cells.
  • Another study showed that boswellic acids are potent apoptotic agents to cancer cells and another one shows that Boswellic acids from frankincense gum exhibit potent cytotoxic activity againstCNS tumors.

Why Hasn’t the General Public Heard about This?
It sounds incredulous but the anti-cancerous effects of frankincense has been known for thousands of years. Does it work for everyone? No, but compared to the effects of chemotherapy, frankincense DOES show great promise now and in the future. Frankincense will never be promoted for the breakthrough that it is because there is no money to be made in its promotion. Frankincense is expensive in comparison to other therapeutic grade oils but “cheap” in comparison to drugs like chemotherapy.

Scientists have observed and do agree that there is some agent within frankincense which stops cancer spreading, and which induces cancerous cells to close themselves down. Immunologist Mahmoud Suhail is quoted "Cancer starts when the DNA code within the cell's nucleus becomes corrupted. It seems frankincense has a re-set function. It can tell the cell what the right DNA code should be. Frankincense separates the 'brain' of the cancerous cell - the nucleus - from the 'body' - the cytoplasm, and closes down the nucleus to stop it reproducing corrupted DNA codes."--Currently, with chemotherapy, doctors blast the area around a tumour to kill the cancer, but that also kills healthy cells, and weakens the patient. Treatment with frankincense could eradicate the cancerous cells alone and let the others live. The task now is to isolate the agent within frankincense which, apparently, works this wonder

History Medical Research (Bosellia serrata)
In Ayurvedic medicine Indian frankincense (Boswellia serrata), commonly referred to as "dhoop," has been used for hundreds of years for treating arthritis, healing wounds, strengthening the female hormone system, and purifying the atmosphere from undesirable germs. The use of frankincense in Ayurveda is called "dhoopan". In Indian culture, it is suggested that burning frankincense everyday in house brings good health.

Standardized preparations of Indian frankincense from Boswellia serrata are being investigated in scientific studies as a treatment for chronic inflammatory diseases such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, and osteoarthritis. Initial clinical study results indicate efficacy of incense preparations for Crohn's disease. For therapy trials in ulcerativecolitis, asthma, and rheumatoid arthritis there are only isolated reports and pilot studies from which there is not yet sufficient evidence of safety and efficacy. Similarly, the long-term effects and side effects of taking frankincense has not yet been scientifically investigated. Boswellic acid in vitro antiproliferative effects on various tumor cell lines (such as melanoma, glioblastomas, liver cancer) are based on induction of apoptosis. A positive effect has been found in the use of incense on the accompanying specimens of brain tumors, although in smaller clinical trials. Some scientists say the results are due to methodological flaws. The main active compound of Indian incense is viewed as being boswellic acid.

As of May 2008 FASEB Journal announced that Johns Hopkins University and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem have determined that frankincense smoke is a psychoactive drug that relieves depression and anxiety in mice. The researchers found that the chemical compound in censole acetate is responsible for the effects.

In a different study, an enriched extract of "Indian Frankincense" (usually Boswellia serrata) was used in a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled study of patients with osteoarthritis. Patients receiving the extract showed significant improvement in their arthritis in as little as seven days. The compound caused no major adverse effects and, according to the study authors, is safe for human consumption and long-term use.

The study was funded by a company which produces frankincense extract, and that the results have not yet been duplicated by another study.

In a study published in March 2009 by the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center it was reported that"Frankincense oil appears to distinguish cancerous from normal bladder cells and suppress cancer cell viability

Study: Frankincense may fight some cancers
January 31, 2006
A Virginia Tech scientist says frankincense oil might be useful in treating malignant melanoma -- an aggressive cancer that attacks humans and equines.

Approximately 54,000 malignant melanoma cases are diagnosed annually, according to the American Cancer Society, and there are many similarities between malignant melanoma in horses and malignant melanoma in people.

Recognizing the opportunity for translational research, John Robertson, a professor in the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, has been studying the disease and an experimental treatment involving frankincense oil.

Frankincense is a botanical oil distillate made from fermented plants that contains boswellic acid, a component known to have anti-neoplastic properties.

During a recent presentation before a regional meeting of the American Cancer Society in Roanoke, Va., Robertson -- director of the college's Center for Comparative Oncology -- said he's found the oil has fairly selective anti-tumor activity and doesn't appear to disrupt normal cells."I think this research on frankincense oil suggests that this ancient medicine may have significant modern uses for chemotherapy of non-resectable malignancies," said Robertson.

Empowerment Through Reiki

Empowerment Through Reiki

The Reiki Usui System is easy to learn and can be learned by anyone regardless of their age or religious preference. Reiki is not affiliated with any religion; it is universal and available to everyone. The Reiki System of Natural Healing is taught through a Reiki Master Teacher who initiates the student into higher levels of the Universal Life Force Energy. Once a person is initiated into Reiki their energetic system is balanced and cleared, their vibration is raised and their channel is expanded to increase a more concentrated flow of Reiki energy that will flow through them for the rest of their life. The attunement process is a blissful, beautiful interaction between you and your God self. Divine grace opens your heart assisting you to connect to deeper levels of unconditional love, forgiveness, unity and compassion for yourself and the planet.

Each of us are natural born healers. We all have the Universal Life Force Energy running through our system. Without this energy we would not be alive. When someone is in pain, we instinctively connect with the person by giving them a hug, rubbing them on the back or placing our hands over the affected area. The ability to do healing work is inherent in all of us. It is a normal and natural procedure.

A Reiki class will not give you anything you do not already possess. However, a Reiki class will greatly enhance and strengthen your already innate ability to heal. A Reiki attunement clears and expands your central light column, clears energetic blocks and activates you to transmit higher levels of healing energy. The Reiki attunement opens and aligns what was already a part of you.

Think of your body as a house. The house comes equipped with electrical wiring. God gave each of us the freewill choice to live in a house with or without electricity. All we have to do is make the choice to turn the switch on for the electrical currents to be connected. The Reiki attunement is the light switch that turns your power on.

Reiki
Three Degrees

Reiki is transmitted to the student in three degrees. Each degree includes an attunement. An attunement is a sacred spiritual initiation that connects the student to higher levels of consciousness and to an unlimited source of healing energy. The attunement enhances the students connection with their higher self, clears karma and negative energy from the energy body and raises the students vibration opening them up to hold more light, Ki, or Universal Life Force energy.

A physical and emotional cleansing and reorganization of the student’s energy will occur. The attunement elicits a healing response on all levels of the students being: Physical, Mental, Emotional and Spiritual. It usually takes between 30-90 days for the student’s energetic and physical bodies to integrate these new higher vibrational energies. Daily self-healing for at least the first month is highly recommended.

Attunement=Initiation=Empowerment

FIRST DEGREE (“I Am in the Light”) is called Shoden. It is the basic course where the student learns self-treatment and how to treat others. This degree will help you learn how to be a clear channel, how to develop a clear mind and develop a compassionate detachment from outcome by releasing control and simply allowing Reiki to happen.

Once attuned, the student will go through a 3-4 week cleansing period where their body adjusts to higher levels of energy. During this period the chakras are cleared, balanced and enlarged. The hara line or central light column is cleared and expanded and the student is able to channel higher levels of  ki. The student goes from a 50-watt light bulb to a 100-watt light bulb.

Includes the history of Reiki, hand placements for self and others, Initiation with 4 attunements, first sacred Reiki symbol and practice time to integrate the energy and gain confidence.

$35 - Certificate included.

SECOND DEGREE (“The Light is in Me”) is called Okuden. The second level attunement opens the student up even further to channel higher levels of “Spiritually Guided Universal Life Force Energy”. The student is given two sacred symbols as tools to transmit Reiki long distance to a person not physically present and will learn the technique for mental emotional healing. Practice time to integrate the energy and gain confidence.

This attunement focuses on emotional, mental and karmic healing. Old emotions, unhealed former situations, past lives and negative mental patterns resurface to be healed and released. The student will go through a 3-4 week cleansing period.

$75.00 - Certificate included.

THIRD DEGREE  (“I Am the Light”) is called Shinpiden and is taught in two segments. The Reiki 3 attunement is a spiritual level healing. It strengthens your connection to source and oneness with all life.

Reiki Master broadens the students channel even further through another attunement and assists in self-mastery and spiritual growth. The Master symbol is given to the student and they are considered a Reiki Master Initiate Practitioner.

$150.00 - Certificate included.

Taught by Michele Nappi

Reiki Master Initiate Since 1997

Reiki is a Japanese word meaning universal life force energy. It is an ancient technology for fine tuning the physical and etheric bodies to a higher vibratory level. A Reiki Master Initiate offers attunements to those wishing to become a practitioner so that they then can offer this as a healing method to themselves and others. This process enables the person to channel higher frequency amounts of universal life force energy. You will receive a certificate of completion and the first Reiki symbol. We will practice after the attunement is given, learn Reiki history, principals and hand positions. Reiki can also be given in the aura; energy centers of the body. Reiki is a wonderful tool to help develop conscious awareness, the very key to enlightenment.

This is a path to personal and global transformation.

I was first attuned in June of 1997. I love the energy of Reiki. There hasn't been a day gone by that I haven't used Reiki for one reason or another. This practice assists in your expansion on a spiritual level.

Accepting Opportunity

I have accepted the opportunity to hone my skills. I've been seeing 11,111,1111 again lately. Did a reading for myself:Two times when doing a reading for myself I have received Transfiguration card. Today I received that one again, The Chariot and The Hanged Man. They seem to have common meanings within the three cards. All major arcana about change, beginnings, being beyond duality, surrender, visions. Letting go of one 'reality' to move forward. Each talk about subconscious mind/darkness/buried secrets/underworld. Renunciation.

I have also been thinking recently about 'respect' and how this expectation leads us to a point of focus/suffering. I believe it is beneficial to respect in general and yet, when we begin to expect others respect we may or may not receive it. I have been creating the space within myself to experience my thoughts and feelings created by these thoughts and what this means to me. Where we do not receive respect from others we do have an opportunity to respect ourselves and go from that point. We can always choose this way of thinking. We can nurture and have compassion for ourselves as being sacred. No 'matter' what occurs in our life, we can hold sacred ground. I AM.

Recently I gave a talk at a Retreat. The reasoning behind the discussions I give is that I have found a way to live in peace following a severe, traumatic childhood which included many types of abuse, including the murder of my sister. I choose to share information in hopes that what I offer, assists someone else as I believe, we affect the whole.  Through the teachings I am able to offer inspiration and guidance for making hte present moment the focal point of daily life by helping transcend the thinking mind, awaken spiritually, and open to a new way of being in the world.

What follows is most of what I talked about:

When in duality, your reality is what you focus on. You choose your reality as energy is malleable/changeable. When we hold ourselves in duality using words such as have to, got to, must, should, need, right, wrong, good or bad we are essentially creating that point of focus for ourselves and acting this out. Since we have the ability to choose our thoughts, which create our feelings we can alter this energy at any moment. This energy affects the whole. When you think thoughts that create a war within yourself, your energy matches up to any war. You assist that energy in adding to it. When you be what you would like to experience in the world, you add to this energy as well. Why would any one of us expect someone else to do what we are not willing to do ourselves? Your heart and soul knows what the ego would like you to forget. That you are what you seek, as an all-knowing soul.

When we mirror with people and so forth, no matter what the thought or feeling we create the focus. What 'should be' is not, what it is, is. With our choice of thoughts and words we are this duality. Being beyond duality simply put, means creating a space within the divine moment to experience peace within ourselves.

I do not choose to believe that we are here to learn lessons. That is punitive. We learn this in religion, school and so on. This is dualistic thinking. It keeps us stuck. No wonder so many are unhappy. When we choose to believe what we have been taught to think, even if this does not feel like our truth, we create unhappiness. We are taught-thought, rote beings when we choose to live life like a robot. We learn anyway. It is not a lesson but an option, a choice. Does this feel any freer? All is beyond taught-thoughts.

A 13th century (1207-1273 AD) poet, Rumi once said, "There is a voice that doesn't use words - Listen!"
A modern day author, E. Tolle has said, " Its not the situation, it is your thoughts about it."

What you choose to believe in, is true for you. Any one of us has an opinion which may or may not be 'the' truth as a universal truth for all.

I have read that the human heart is 100,000 times stronger electrically and 5,000 times stronger magnetically than the brain. Up until this scientific study. we have been taught-thought to believe that the brain was in charge. The brain is relatively weak, compared to the hearts. When we change our thoughts we change the atoms that create our physical structure. Louise Hay has written much about how thoughts create themselves within the body when we are unable to release these thoughts and the energy they create. In other words this is where dis-ease comes from. When we change the atom and its element within our body and this world with compassion from the heart, we affect the whole.

I have made the warrior commitment - I have taken the vow to live compassionately. When I do falter, I renew my commitment and move on with the rest of my life. All have experience what it feels like to relapse. How could we have any idea about what other beings go through without experiencing this? How would anyone of us cultivate compassion, kindness or patience without experiencing this energy?

There is no such thing as right/wrong, good/bad and so forth. When we decide to change our energy we literally change our minds, the neurons that connect within the brain, our very atoms that are free-floating in source energy, that are held together by source energy. We create self.

When we decide to change, we take one step forward into the new energy to experience it. This is intelligence. We takes two steps back into the old patterns, the old matrix of energy to where we can rest even if this energy is painful. We are forming a new existence. IT IS NOT FAILURE TO TAKE THOSE TWO STEPS BACK. It is absolutely divine.

Buddhists call letting go renunciation. All is temporary. When we are able to let go, go with the flow and enjoy the moment for 'what it is' we release ourselves and others from the hook of suffering - from the focus of expectations that ego would want us to endure.

I heard this lately: "Chicken poetry reading: Chicken. Road. The crossing is within. There is no other side."

No duality. No right/wrong, good/bad, love/hate....only perception which we create...

Our ego would want to keep us in duality. Our sentimentality to hold on to our taught-thoughts keeps us in duality, too. Being beyond duality is where we go beyond our sentimental taught-thoughts, beyond belief in 'sides.' Ask anyone with an addiction. How easy was it to let go of the conditioning? There is no 'other' side. What side of the coin is the 'other side!?" The one you are choosing. The one you focus your energy on. When we choose a side, we create a stretching of ourselves within that we call suffering. When we focus on an outcome and EXPECT it, whether it is within ourselves or without, it is the same s holding ourselves to a point of suffering.

It is what it is, and we get to decide what to make of it. Therein lays peace, harmony of self, freedom from fear.
Listen not to respond or have expectations of self or others. Hear, listen and recognize the story and reach beyond it to that inner silence and smile being aware of your all-knowing soul. Without duality what do you have? Peace.
This is your inner environment that you create. When you choose to do this you undergo transformation. BE.

Nelson Mandela quote: "As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leve my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison."

All thoughts are created by the individual and these thoughts are kept in the head of the individual by their choice of belief in the moment. This energy is malleable. We can change. We litterally change the neuron connection in our brain. That is why we commonly all do the dance of one step forward, two steps back. We take a step as a pioneer in the new energy, this new world to see what it is like. Just as all those before us have done! This is the way of change.

"You ask what came before word. You remember. You ask what came before creation you have become accustomed to. You remember. You are that knowing soul. " ~ Being Beyond Duallity

I also talked a bit about receiving Messages and/or Guidance:

When we intellectualize the messages they begin to float away from us. We rationalize thought.

The day before my birthday a woman came into the shop I am the proprietor of. We began chatting and she told be her name was Betty. I said, "Oh! My mothers name was Betty." The woman replied, "Yes, there aren't many of us around any longer." I said, "My mothers name was Betty Jane." The woman looked surprised and said, "MY name is Betty Jane!" She began shaking her head back and forth, as she opened the door to leave the shop. My mother and I hadn't gotten along. In fact, I didn't know she had died of cancer until after she had passed. I took this as a message from my mother to wish me a happy birthday!

"The trouble with duality is that someone feels the need to take a side." M. Nappi

"When you say "yes" to the "isness" of life, when you accept this moment as it is, you can feel a sense of spaciousness within you that is deeply peaceful. " E. Tolle

I think the greatest thing that my guide I call Being, has given me is "it is what it is" and we get to decide what to make of it. We are always in charge of the thoughts we decide to think and cling to. We are in charge of the thoughts we decide to put in our minds and keep there that create our feelings.

You are what you seek. Energy is malleable. It can change.

"So the simple most vital step on your journey toward enlightenment is this: learn to dis identify from your mind. Every time you create a gap in the stream of mind, the light of your consciousness grows stronger. One day you may catch yourself smiling at the voice in your head, as you would smile at the antics of a child. This means that you no longer take the content of your mind all that seriously, as your sense of self does not depend on it." Eckhart Tolle

I would add that awareness is enlightenment. We are all as enlightened as we allow ourselves to be in the moment. Each moment is an opportunity to accept awareness.

Joy of Appendectomy: Give God Awakening

    "Joy of Appendectomy"

"Your father was with me." "Who is Marty?" Those were my first words spoken to my husband after I woke up from an emergency appendectomy. We don't know a Marty. My husbands father died in March of 1977. I liked him because he was kind to me. In those days that was a rare thing, so his presence was extraordinarily special. After my father-in-law left his material, human form, my husband and I both saw him as spirit, on two different occasions. He had died on a trip out of state, while visiting relatives. His last wish was that he could be with his family, one last time. That wish was granted. My husbands boss chided him, "She should have seen that coming!" Meaning me. I should have known. He added a loud laugh to solidify his nervous expectation of me. He knows I'm a psychic medium. Yes, I was given messages. One of the first things I teach people when they come to me for assistance on developing their psychic awareness is that spirit sends symbols to us to get messages across.

Sometimes those symbols come in the form of a dream, which would include a day dream or thought form. Spirit showed me the time I was in the hospital visiting someone who was convalescing. There was a woman in the adjacent bed, in the same room. This woman's husband was there sitting in a chair next to her. His wife had post-operative psychosis, a common and serious risk of surgery, associated with an increased risk of mortality, increase length of stay, and more adverse outcomes in general, including increased risk of higher level of care required at discharge. She was angry and couldn't understand where she was. I remember him looking over at me with a timid smile. He seemed a bit embarrassed. He reminded me of my husband. We all have memories and they can be a wonderful way for spirit to give us a "heads up" now and again! They are gentle awakenings, and can be overseen, easily. As we grow in awareness, we can sense these messages, however subtle.

Looking back, like judging someone else, is always easier than directly looking in the mirror of life at ourselves, although I have full belief that one day we, as humans will know our Being in its full glory. We are Spirit experiencing the material, physical form of matter, and facing facts is always empowering. We then begin to experience awareness that goes along with our thoughts and thus, our feelings. Knowing the "why" of things at least lights up our path of least resistance. We may then begin to deal with our own ego, that hopes we will stay lost in the "game of life", not knowing our real, true self as Consciousness. The joy I found in my process leading to an appendectomy was a mystical, spiritual one. I know that sounds unusual. I will explain. For weeks a certain color orange kept following me around. It seemed where ever I looked, in rented movies whether old or new; cars, clothing, jewelry, advertisements, etc. this particular color orange was there. The color is one Buddhist monks wear as a constant reminder to let go, give up, and not to cling. They practice renunciation; the act of giving up a right. For example, as autumn leaves of orange, red, and yellow fall from the trees, dropping to the ground, they then release their hold on life's form. I do believe all form is temporary. Form being matter. All is an illusion. Still, seeing this color kept happening more and more often, jumping into my view when ever possible. I decided that this was a message for me, from spirit; my higher self.

The color orange coincides with our sacral or spleen chakra. This color symbolizes our life power and energy. On a whole, it is the best emotional stimulant, bringing about enthusiasm for life and a deep joy with red denoting love, courage and inner, unseen power - the best kind as it is formless - and yellow, wisdom. This also encourages giving and receiving on all levels; to awaken and balance sexual healing. The color orange denoted to me on a personal level, as a long-standing issue of childhood sexual abuse had been brought back to the forefront of my life through a much younger sister, who was now able to talk about her childhood abuse, as well. Our father was deeply rooted in unconscious behavior. My ego then wanted revenge. At first it drove me until I found space to turn this energy around and a deeper knowing came about. The past is full of nothing but dead energy. It is over. We can remain there, in a sort of "death limbo" for as long as we choose, yet it only creates from this morbid energy, a lasting negativity, that we then pull forward into our daily existence. The future has yet to be decided, although we can create using intention, belief, and focus. This too, is energy we do not have, yet. We can create only in the now energy. Now is the moment we have. The Present that life has to offer us. What a gift! I do believe that suffering has its place in this world. Why else would it be here? If we truly have a choice, and I believe we do, why would we choose suffering? It's path leads us to letting go, for-giving ourselves the ability to find a higher way to render suffering as a tool only, as a means of stepping out of suffering. Believe me when I tell you, my ego struggled fiercely to hang on to the notion that I needed to create separation and thus, suffer. All negativity separates us from ourselves and each other. There is no way around it. There is a way above and beyond it, though. Physically the spleen chakra has a vibratory rate that affects the appendix, among other organs.

My intentions of creating negative thought forms with like energy had long settled into that area of my physical body. Maybe that is why spirit gave me the message of, "It is not about you." It is not about me. Not the little me that creates suffering. It is about the whole, the One, the I Am that I am. Suffering/separation is an illusion that we can buy into if we let ourselves. Negative energy has a sticky pull like taffy. We are here on the earth plane of lower, dense energy and it pulls at us. Release, let go and rise above it and you find the All energy. Peaceful and calming. We now know that thoughts are things with their own vibration. Like a magnet, my thoughts clung to my appendix. This chakra also increases the intake of oxygen; giving us the ability to take in life fully. Mentally it gives energy to remove suppression and inhibitions, creating new horizons, spontaneity, vitality, and well-being. I happen to be shy. Being a shy person, may seem quiet and gentle to most. Some understand that shy equals scared poopless. Underneath this facade is a person who feels the need to be superior. All their life they have felt unworthy, not feeling good enough, afraid of Being. Over confident people feel a drive led by inferiority. Either way, it is an illusion created and based in the past, morbid energy of form that we have the choice in the Now moment, to either bring forward or leave behind.

During this same time frame, also in March, I invited a Young Living essential oil distributor to my shop to do a talk. She decided to speak on "Opening the Heart with Essential Oils - Regaining Emotional Balance & Releasing the Past." She talked about healing our relationships with others and ourselves being crucial to our overall well-being and how essential oils work at the cellular level to help in this process by clearing memory & raising our spiritual awareness to move past injury. Learn to create our lives now with joy and peacefulness. She talked also about oils named Release, Forgiveness, Acceptance, Gratitude, and Joy. This was the Monday before my appendectomy. I was drawn internally, pun intended, to the oil Joy. I used this oil over my heart chakra for the next few days as I sang, "Ive got joy, joy, joy, down in my heart, down in my heart. Still, I carried in my body, questions that gnawed at me. Why do babies have cancer? Why do animals go blind? The big question was a resounding, why? Why so much suffering? My ego was deeply embedded. It had me hooked like a fish, struggling to free itself. I felt embarrassed and ashamed. My mind was confused with unconscious thinking. I felt the physical discomfort I created in my body, through thoughts and emotions that I couldn't find a way to release emotionally or mentally. They were stuck in me. They grew in my belly and roared, rearing their ugly, painful head. I hurt. I was hurt in general for all of society, all that this encapsulated. I accepted this suffering as if there were no way out; this is just the way it is theory.

The physical sensations I was experiencing weren't like any other I'd felt before. That Friday night after I ate, my intestines decided that they didn't really want to do the job they had done for me, without question, for so many years. It was as if they gave up the ship and jumped overboard. I was up most of the night, giving myself hands-on Reiki (ray-key), which as many of you now know is a Japanese healing technique using universal life-force, that a Tendai Buddhist named Mikao Usui created after a twenty-one day retreat on Mount Kurama, involving meditation, fasting, and prayer. Usui said that by mystical revelation he had gained the knowledge and spiritual power to apply and attune others to what is called Reiki. In April 1922, Usui moved to Tokyo and founded the Usui Reiki Healing Society. Reiki teachers and practitioners aim to abide by these five Reiki principles, one translation of which is:

"The secret art of inviting happiness
The miraculous medicine for all dis-eases
Just for today, do not be angry
    Do not worry and
    Be filled with gratitude
    Work hard (on improving yourself)
    Be kind to All"

I was first attuned in 1997. Reiki has raised me up and altered my life in a divinely, spiritual way that I am ever grateful for. That is also when I first met my Master guide, Isiah, while in meditation. He is a monk, by the way.I dozed off intermittently. When I awoke the next morning the discomfort in my intestines was gone. I noticed I had a feeling similar to a pinch on my lower right side just above my hip bone. I went about my business. I sat with my two grand children for a couple of hours. When it came time, I left to go to my body, mind, spirit shop. The pinching sensation lingered and since, my son had had an appendectomy a couple of years earlier, I decided to look up information on the internet about its symptoms. This is what I found: The main symptom of appendicitis is abdominal pain. The pain can feel like indigestion or like you need to have a bowel movement or pass gas. Many people feel the first pain near the belly button. Then it moves to the lower right side of the belly. But the pain can be in different parts of your belly or even on your side. The pain may get worse if you move, walk, or cough. You may also have a fever or feel sick to your stomach.

Many people who have had appendicitis say the pain is hard to describe. It may not feel like any pain you have had before. It may not even be a very bad pain, but you may feel like something is wrong. If you have moderate belly pain that does not go away after 4 hours, call your doctor. If you have severe belly pain, call your doctor right away. Older people, children younger than 2 years, and pregnant women may not have pain in the lower right part of the belly. Other people feel pain in their side because their appendix is in a different position than normal. Because appendicitis can become serious in a short amount of time it is wise to call your doctor right away. Treatment is much easier if the appendix has not ruptured. In most people, the appendix does not rupture until they have felt sick for at least 24 hours. As I entered the building for my doctors appointment, I looked straight ahead. A nurse, in bright orange scrubs walked between a doorway, like the scene with the cat on the movie The Matrix, a science fiction film starring Keanu Reeves released in March of 1999. She looked right at me and smiled, a calming, knowing grin. If I had doubt before about being guided, there wasn't any at that point. We humans so seldom look directly into each others eyes and smile anymore. After an examination I was told to go to the ER at the local hospital. She told me I could go home first if I didn't spend any longer than 15 minutes there. That is when it sunk in, that this was serious. Time was of the essence. I called my husband, who was working out-of-state, and asked him to meet me at the hospital. As I was driven to the hospital by my daughter and her boyfriend, I was drawn to look at the clock and noticed it read 1:11PM.

Many people now believe that physical reality is a consciousness program created by digital codes. Numbers, numeric codes, define our existence. Human DNA, our genetic memory, is encoded to be triggered by digital codes at specific times and frequencies. Well, then I was right on time. Those codes awaken the mind to the change and evolution of consciousness and I was moving ahead as scheduled! 11:11 is one of those codes, meaning activation of DNA. It seems that seeing these numbers and others like them like 4:44 follow me where ever I go too, creating synchronicity in my life. Many of us have been seeing number synchronicity for quite some time now. As I rode, I began to take off my jewelry as I knew this would be a requirement when I arrived at the hospital. I was mentally and emotionally preparing myself for an appendectomy. I am a survivor after all, and I have equipped myself with a knowing beyond the norm. I was about to right the balance of my life. Bringing myself into harmony of Now.

I sat for about five minutes at the ER and was called to registry, which my doctor had already done over the phone. I was taken to a room. I had many tests; blood work, urine check, CAT scan, and some tests I wont mention here, but I will mention he used an orange latex glove. All came back negative. The only sign I had was the pinching pain that on a scale of 1-10, was a five. After awhile a doctor with the brightest, almost unnatural green eyes, came in and said, in a very serious tone, "You have appendicitis." I smiled a knowing smile. At 11:00PM I had my appendix removed from my physical body as part of what I believe, was a ceremony of renunciation. I gave up the illusion that my ego desperately wanted me to keep, directing my precious energy towards negativity which kept me in a state of questioning. I released fear. Fear of life. Blocking the flow of good. I am safe. I relax and let life flow joyously: Heal Your Body: The Mental Causes for Physical Illness and the Metaphysical Way to Overcome Them by Louise L. Hay. The doctor that removed my appendix came to the recovery room and said, with a big grin, "Well, you had the dis-ease!" Emphasis on the word had.

For a week afterward, dreams were so much more surreal, vivid, and with color that was magnificent. One evening as I slept, a guide came to me dressed in Indigo; the Third Eye or Brow chakra. He sat in a chair and smiled at me in a comforting way. There was no background and that was all there was to this dream. The brow chakra allows us to withdraw into ourselves to obtain peace and quiet, freedom to stretch boundaries, for example in meditation or in giving psychic medium readings. It allows our inner space; our formless self. We are able to see from spirits viewpoint, a much larger scale of intuition and consciousness. In it's energy lies the understanding of the life process and the need to serve mankind. Giving readings is one of my great, illuminating passions, as I am in this inner space during the process. Indigo people are great truth seekers; people who teach by example. Maybe the dream was a message, that now I could do this. Space had been created for this opportunity to arise. Through the vibrational energy frequency of this color we can obtain a better understanding of the meaning of life, and we can allow ourselves to learn to accept what we cannot change. For me, that has great meaning in my own life. The past cannot be undone. We learn that through accepting and letting go that things get better because we have created the space for this to happen. As we let go and seek, we also find.

The bridge of my nose began to throb lightly, near my Pineal gland as it has time and again for years now. The pineal gland is occasionally associated with the sixth chakra or the third eye chakra. It is believed by some to be a dormant organ that can be awakened to enable "telepathic" communication. I had been further awakened. In the physical body the eye views objects upside down. It sends the image of what it observes to the brain which interprets the image and makes it appear right side-up to us. In a way of speaking, it "rights things." The 'Third Eye' which in reality is the Pineal Gland, is long thought to have mystical powers. Many consider it the Spiritual Third Eye, our Inner Vision. I learned that indigo energy also helps to release fear, frustrations, and distortions of inner energy by producing balance. I also smiled as I read that the color indigo is the complementary color to the color orange on the chakra wheel. It all made sense. Another night I dreamed I was wandering down a hallway, searching, finding my way. I clung to the edge by my fingertips, and then released and let go. I was "outside" in the light of sunshine when I met an old woman; a sage. She said, "Stop." She seemed handicapped, or held there for some reason. My heart opened up and was full of joy as I went to her. She gave me a reading. She gestured as she spoke, raising her arms above her head, she said, "I don't feel God (Universe/Light/Spirit) directly on me (something about warmth) so it's not that. Then she said, "Give God Awakening." Another woman stepped into the picture. While looking at me, she smiled and said, "That is enough for now." The dream ended.

As I recuperated at home, I had time to read a book that my daughter had purchased, A New
Earth by Echardt Tolle, which by the way, has an orange colored cover. I felt as if it had been written just for me, answering questions Ive been asking myself. As I asked further questions while reading this book, the next paragraph would answer them! Words of wisdom I have been given by Spirit through the years, were embedded in Echardt's writings. It was as if it were a synopsis of my life, thus far. I felt I was held in the arms of the Universe. I knew I was being guided to release, let go, forgive. Find joy. Awakening. Interpreting life and consciousness is a tall order for anyone, especially with taught-thoughts so deeply embedded in our unconscious minds. A New Earth talks about finding consciousness in breathing, only one breath is needed to create the space necessary. With each breath we take we reaffirm our commitment to life. As I lay in recovery after my surgery, the nurses needed to remind me of this, as I quit breathing a number of times, saying, "Breath Michele." I'm breathing on my own now. Back to my regular routine, but changed none the less. I'm down one body part and up in vibratory frequency, as I've released the physical form of my appendix, as a symbol to awakening consciousness, thus allowing God awakening. Oh, the joy of appendectomy!
